The national key research and development project "Aviation Collaborative Penetrating Detection Technology System", led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was launched in Beijing recently. Honeycomb Aerospace attended the conference as one of the important research institutions, and will work together with several institutions to help carry out basic scientific research such as penetrating the Earth proposed by the national "14th Five-Year Plan".
In the launch meeting, Pan Jie, the project leader of "Aeronautical Collaborative Penetrating Detection Technology System" and a researcher of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, elaborated on the technical route of the project implementation. He pointed out that the aeronautical penetrating detection technology is an important part of the multi-layer penetrating observation technology of the Earth, and a lot of research has been carried out in the aeronautical penetrating detection technology at home and abroad, which promotes the development of penetrating Earth science. However, current research mainly focuses on single-payload technology and can no longer meet the requirements for distributed airborne payloads and platform networking coordination in 3D penetrating detection.

Pan Jie introduced that the project of "Collaborative Aerial Penetrating Detection Technology System" launched this time will start from the application requirements of multi-circle perspective detection, adopt the research and development idea of the whole chain and the whole system technology support, and break through the common key technologies. The project is expected to build a distributed system of aerial penetrating detection technology with multi-payload, platform and application chain, cultivate a national strategic scientific and technological team of aerial penetrating detection technology, promote the application of typical scenarios of multi-circle penetrating sounding, connect with industrial application projects deployed in the field, and support the demonstration of the concept of penetrating the Earth in the Earth observation and navigation field during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
Honeycomb Aerospace provides distributed aerial networking detection UAVs for this project, which serves as platforms for application of multi-circle perspective detection. In light of typical scenarios of multi-circle penetrating detection, Honeycomb Aerospace provides application support and promotion, and participates in the research of collaborative technology of aerial penetrating detection system and networking technology of aerial penetrating detection platform. It also participates in the application technology and verification evaluation of aerial penetrating detection in the shallow surface layer and the application technology and verification evaluation of aerial penetrating detection in continental vegetation-covered area.
After comprehensive review, the expert group unanimously agreed that the project implementation plan has clear objectives, complete and reasonable contents, clear grasp of key technologies and feasible overall technical route. At the same time, the Special Management Office of Earth Observation and Navigation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the expert group also pointed out that the project is of great scale and high difficulty, and its indicator level is leading in the world. It is one of the landmark expected achievements in the field of Earth observation and navigation.
