At the Front Line of Flood-fighting! Honeycomb Aerospace Drones Urgently Deployed to Assist in Rescue

Source:蜂巢航宇 | Release Time:2023年09月13日 | 类别:Project News

Affected by Typhoon Doksuri, from July 29, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other places have been continuously hit by heavy rainfall. A large amount of rain has caused severe water disasters in Fangshan and Mentougou districts of Beijing, Zhuozhou in Hebei and other places. Road traffic in some areas has been completely blocked, and power and communication in some mountainous areas have also been completely interrupted. However, drone-assisted emergency rescue has played an important role in this disaster, providing efficient rescue services for stranded people.

After the disaster, Honeycomb Aerospace quickly set up an emergency support team, dispatched a total of 8 emergency team members, dispatched 2 vehicles, carrying Honeycomb Aerospace HC-526, HC-141 and other drones, from Anyang to Beijing to carry out emergency rescue missions.

Rapid Response Night Deployment to Disaster Zone

After receiving the mission, Honeycomb Aerospace took prompt action and completed the equipment inventory of the HC-526, HC-141 and other UAV systems. After traveling through the rain for several hours, on the morning of August 2, the equipment and personnel arrived in the disaster-stricken area of Beijing. They followed the unified allocation arrangements of the command departments and carried out emergency rescue missions in the disaster area of Beijing. This mission required drones to conduct reconnaissance, search and other tasks over the disaster area.

Overcome Difficulties and Race against Time

In this mission area, the weather is unstable and it is surrounded by mountains. The number of landing sites that meet the requirements in the entire disaster area is extremely limited. Meanwhile, the reconnaissance scope needs to cover the entire disaster area, and the UAVs also have to deal with the turbulent airflows in the mountains. All these factors pose extremely high demands on the UAVs' flight duration, communication links, stability and safety.

During the operation, the drones of Honeycomb Aerospace quickly took off and reached the affected area. Through high-altitude flight operations, they obtained data of the disaster area, which clearly demonstrated the situation of the affected area and provided strong support for the subsequent rescue work. In the coming few days, the drones of Honeycomb Aerospace will actively cooperate with relevant departments to carry out tasks such as reconnaissance and search-and-rescue operations, and spare no effort to contribute to the flood control and disaster relief efforts.

Demonstrating Responsibility in Critical Moments  Supporting Emergency Rescue Efforts

Sudden disasters have the characteristics of high concealment, suddenness and mass occurrence, and can easily cause heavy losses. Science and technology are indispensable in every link of disaster prevention, mitigation and relief.

In the face of the disaster, Honeycomb Aerospace is duty-bound to provide rescue support for the front line. Adhering to the responsibility as members of Honeycomb Aerospace, the emergency support team has worked around the clock and overcome difficulties. It has raced against time with efficient inspection operation capabilities and fought on the front line, continued to carry out disaster reconnaissance, search and rescue tasks, and fully facilitated rescue work.

Application of Honeycomb Aerospace UAV in emergency rescue

Search for Missing persons: The Honeycomb Aerospace long-endurance drone, equipped with high-definition cameras and infrared thermal imagers, can conduct search operations in complex environments, helping rescue workers quickly find trapped or missing people.

Real-time image transmission: The Honeycomb Aerospace UAV can promptly enter the disaster-stricken area right after a disaster occurs, providing real-time image data for the rescue command department. This helps in assessing the extent of the disaster and formulating more accurate rescue plans.

Terrain analysis: Through the high-definition terrain images obtained by Honeycomb aerospace drones, rescue workers can more accurately understand the terrain conditions of the disaster area, avoid dangerous areas, and adjust rescue strategies in time.

Material transport: Honeycomb Aerospace's heavy-lift drones can be used to transport emergency supplies, medicines and medical equipment, effectively alleviating the pressure on rescue workers and the transportation system.

Communication relay: In the aftermath of a natural disaster such as a flood, the communication infrastructure is likely to be severely damaged, resulting in communication disruption. At this time, the Honeycomb aerospace communication relay drone can be used as a temporary communication relay station to help on-site rescue personnel keep in touch with the outside world and timely pass on key information.

Night lighting: Night lighting is particularly important in search and rescue work in disaster areas. Honeycomb Aerospace drones can be equipped with strong lighting equipment to provide rescuers with the necessary light source to ensure that search and rescue work can be carried out smoothly.
